Digital Project Manager
Code is a high-end e-commerce agency with Shopify at its core. Our teams design, develop and optimize our clients' most critical business tool: their e-commerce platform. We not only help brands launch a high-performing Shopify webshop, but we also translate our work into an impressive conversion rate, using growth tactics and tools like Klaviyo. Brands we work with include Stoov, Intersport, Alpinestars, BOSKA, Mercer Amsterdam and Rosefield.
We're a team of 55 developers, project and customer success managers, marketers and strategists with a shared passion: e-commerce. We are remote-friendly and spread out across our three offices in Delft, Amsterdam and Berlin. With 16 different nationalities and over 40% women, we are a diverse team. We love our warm-hearted culture and daily lunches; being social is deeply rooted in our work culture. We have created a great place to work for our Coders and we constantly strive for a healthy work-life balance.
But enough about us - we want to know more about you!
About the role
As a Digital Project Manager at Code, you play a central role in the development of our high-end Shopify (Plus) stores. Collaborating with a team of 5 to 6 front-end developers, you bring webshops to life – from concept and design to launch and ongoing optimization. Your mission? To create webshops that are not only technically robust and visually stunning but also true conversion powerhouses.
You’ll work closely with one of our Customer Success Managers (CSM), who provides input from the client. You translate this input into clear sprints and actionable tasks for your team. At the same time, you oversee the progress of multiple projects, ensuring everything stays within time and budget constraints. With a firm grip on the reins, you strive not only to meet client expectations but to exceed them!
What you'll do:
- Lead projects: Coordinate the development of multiple new Shopify (Plus) stores, ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients and the CSM: Translate client needs and feedback into clear plans and sprints, while keeping progress on track.
- Team coaching: Start the day with a stand-up meeting, motivate the team, conduct 1-on-1 sessions, and foster an environment where everyone can thrive.
- Optimization and ongoing development: Actively contribute ideas for new features and translate them into tangible improvements for the webshop.
- Planning and budget management: Maintain oversight, ensure efficient allocation of client budgets, and prevent surprises along the way.
About you:
This role is perfect for you if you’re an experienced project manager who stands firm and has a sharp eye for design and technology. You know exactly how to structure projects and lead teams. You are:
- Organized: You effortlessly manage multiple projects at once.
- An excellent communicator: You communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Empathetic and supportive: You understand what your team needs to thrive.
- Results-driven: You stay focused on quality and achieving goals, even when circumstances change.
- Flexible and decisive: You collaborate with clients while guiding them toward the best solutions.
You:
- You have at least 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a digital or technical environment.
- You have a strong affinity with UX/UI design, e-commerce, and building webshops on platforms like Shopify (experience with Shopify itself is not required).
- You have experience creating schedules, managing budgets, and working in an Agile environment.
- You have a proven ability to lead and motivate a team, preferably in a multidisciplinary setting.
- You have excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus, but not mandatory.
You are going to amaze us with:
Your talent for quickly bringing out the best in your team of developers. Under your motivating leadership, the team not only performs at a top level but also enjoys working together to achieve great results.
What's in it for you:
- You will work on fun, impactful, visible and challenging projects for growing brands in the Champions League of e-commerce.
- Flexible location: alternate three (or more) days of working in our beautiful office in Delft (easily accessible by car or public transport) with remote working - we meet up regularly in the office in Delft, with easy accessibility by public transport.
- You will join an agency with high ambitions but realistic expectations. We actively facilitate a healthy work-life balance.
- Your personal and professional development is essential to us: together we invest in your growth.
- Informal dress code and open culture – we like to feel at home! So expect to have fun with after-work drinks & team outings.
- Being part of a team where your input will be valued and respected.
- When we're out of office, we really are.
- Tasty lunches provided at the office every day. You’ll be amazed by the lovely rendang that our Tsong-Fu prepares every month (veggie options as well!). Our fridge is fully stocked with beer and soda, so don’t worry about that.
Do you not fully meet all the requested job requirements or experience? But do you get extremely excited about this role and Code? Then we encourage you to apply anyway.
