Senior Full Stack Developer

Code is a high-end e-commerce agency with Shopify at its core. Our teams design, develop and optimize our clients' most critical business tool: their e-commerce platform. We not only help brands launch a high-performing Shopify webshop, but we also translate our work into an impressive conversion rate, using growth tactics and tools like Klaviyo. Brands we work with include Stoov, Intersport, Alpinestars, BOSKA, Mercer Amsterdam and Rosefield.

We're a team of 55 developers, project- and customer success managers, e-commerce consultants and marketers with a shared passion: e-commerce. We are remote-friendly and spread out across our three offices in Delft, Amsterdam and Berlin. With 16 different nationalities and over 40% women, we are a diverse team. About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer at Code, you will work on e-commerce solutions for top brands like MR MARVIS, Stoov, and Alpinestars. You will play a key role in three major projects:

Shopify apps and integrations: You will build powerful API connections and apps that seamlessly integrate with systems like PIMs and ERPs, improving the overall customer experience.
Returner (our own returns platform): You will develop scalable, serverless solutions on platforms like Google Cloud and optimize return processes for Shopify brands.
Shopify Checkout Extensions: You will create custom checkout functionality, such as shipping rules and payment validations, improving both efficiency and the user experience.

You will work with technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and React, influencing both the back-end and front-end. You’ll write and optimize code, implement new features, and ensure everything is high quality and built to last.

In our agile environment, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Product Owners and Support Engineers. You’ll share technical insights, translate complex issues into actionable solutions, and communicate effectively with the team.

About you:

You are passionate about building scalable and reliable SaaS solutions for e-commerce businesses and enjoy solving technical challenges. You focus on performance and user experience, with scalability and optimization central to your approach. As a senior professional, you take responsibility for technical decisions that shape long-term impact and know how to leverage your knowledge and experience to tackle complex problems.

You help them translate technical requirements into actionable solutions, whether it’s by giving demos or guiding strategic decisions. You know how to effectively share your technical knowledge, ensuring that both technical and non-technical team members understand what’s needed. You support the team’s growth by sharing insights and fostering a collaborative environment where everyone works together to deliver the best solution.

You:

You have extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer.
You possess senior-level expertise in Node.js for back-end development and are highly proficient in ReactJS for the front-end.
You thrive working independently but are equally comfortable in a team-oriented environment where collaboration is key.
You are a strong communicator, capable of effectively engaging with clients and stakeholders to articulate your work.
You demonstrate critical thinking skills and have the ability to provide constructive feedback.
You are proactive in problem-solving and confident in making decisions.

You are going to amaze us with:

Your experience working with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
Your capabilities to analyze a product from a commercial perspective, understanding and realizing its business value.
