Senior Sales Executive
Code is an e-commerce agency with a strong focus on Shopify. Our team designs, develops, and optimizes high-end stores for brands like Stoov, Intersport, Alpinestars, BOSKA, Mercer Amsterdam, and Rosefield. We don’t just help brands launch high-performing webshops—we also drive strong conversion rates using growth tactics and tools like Klaviyo.

About the role
Code has the ambition to become the market leader in Europe as a Shopify Agency, and we are well on our way. As a Senior Sales Executive, you play a key role in expanding our portfolio. You focus on fast-growing companies that are ready to migrate to Shopify and want to invest in scalability and innovation. You understand what drives them and know exactly how to convince them that Code is the right partner to take the next step.
Thanks to our strong name in the Shopify community, we receive many inbound leads, but you look beyond that. In close collaboration with our marketing team, you develop a smart outbound strategy and increase our visibility by actively networking, attending relevant events, or even organizing them yourself—such as our own Code Commerce Club. Additionally, you work closely with partners such as Klaviyo, LoyaltyLion, and Sendcloud, where co-selling is an effective way to achieve your goals.
You quickly understand what is important in a Shopify migration and adjust your approach accordingly. At Code, you work with established brands and have conversations with both C-level decision-makers and operational teams within marketing, digital, and IT. You gather input within our organization and translate it into convincing proposals. Once a deal is closed, you ensure a smooth handover to our Customer Success Managers, so everything starts off on the right foot.

What you'll do:
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline – You combine inbound leads with a thoughtful outbound strategy to create and manage a filled pipeline with enterprise prospects.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships – You build mutually valuable co-selling relationships with partners in the Shopify ecosystem, strengthening each other with high-quality leads.
- Create and present convincing proposals – Together with Solution Engineering, you develop technically strong and commercially attractive proposals that you present confidently to C-level stakeholders.
- Ensure a flawless internal handover – You smoothly hand over new clients to Customer Success and stay involved until the kick-off can take place.
About you:
This role is perfect for a sales professional with experience in enterprise sales within e-commerce, who not only sees opportunities but also effectively turns them into long-term customer relationships. You know how to build new leads and are able to successfully close deals. This is how you work:
- Setter – You are a natural networker who builds strategic relationships within the e-commerce sector. You combine a proactive approach with a thoughtful digital presence to reach decision-makers. Thanks to your sharp market knowledge, you know exactly which companies are ready for a partnership with Code.
- Builder – You understand that building a solid sales pipeline takes time and patience. You work with a long-term strategy, taking into account the length of decision-making processes with enterprise clients. You cleverly use our CRM system (Pipedrive and Hubspot) to monitor and follow up on these opportunities.
- Closer – You have strong negotiation skills and know how to close deals successfully. As a team player, you work together with our CSM and Solution Engineer to create proposals that are both technically and commercially strong. You take ownership of the entire sales process, from the first contact to the signing of the deal.
You:
- Have at least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within e-commerce or SaaS.
- Have experience in enterprise sales and know how to structure and close high-value deals.
- Are a strong discussion partner at the C-level and can clearly translate complex commercial and technical challenges.
- Know how to build and manage a sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing.
- Have affinity with e-commerce and technology - experience with Shopify and SaaS is a big plus.
- Speak and write fluent Dutch and English.
Bonus points if you:
- The strong network within e-commerce that you bring. You already know exactly who you want to reach out to in your contact list and have a clear strategy on how to approach them.
- Your knowledge of the German language and culture. We are also active in the DACH region, so this is a big plus.
