Solution Engineer

Code is an e-commerce agency with a strong focus on Shopify. Our team designs, develops, and optimizes high-end stores for brands like Stoov, Intersport, Alpinestars, BOSKA, Mercer Amsterdam, and Rosefield. We don’t just help brands launch high-performing webshops—we also drive strong conversion rates using growth tactics and tools like Klaviyo.

We are a team of over 55 developers, project and customer success managers, marketers, and e-commerce strategists, spread across our offices in Delft, Amsterdam, and Berlin. With 16 different nationalities and more than 40% women, we are a diverse team. We value our warm culture, enjoy daily lunches together, and have a deeply rooted sense of community. We’ve created an amazing workplace for Coders and prioritize a healthy work-life balance.

But enough about us—we’d love to learn more about you!

About the role

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to advise our clients on the optimal setup of their e-commerce landscape. Acting as the link between Sales, Development, and our clients, you represent different teams and identify opportunities and risks at an early stage. You support the Sales team in creating project proposals that maximize customer value.

The focus is on making the best use of Shopify functionalities and apps within the Shopify app ecosystem. However, your perspective goes beyond just the e-commerce platform. You understand that a webshop is just one piece of a larger IT architecture, where elements like product data, customer information, inventory management, and order processing all interact with external systems. You can clearly explain how choices within this complex landscape impact a Shopify store and vice versa.

At Code, new projects typically start with what we call the Discovery phase. During this phase, you work closely with the client and our developers to determine how we will approach the development stage. If the webshop is the house, you are the one creating the blueprint. You ask the right questions to fully understand the client’s needs and requirements. You map out the client's IT landscape and, after consulting with our developers, provide advice on technical solutions for the webshop.

This Discovery phase has two key objectives. First, it ensures that our clients have a realistic understanding of the delivered functionality and the investment involved. Second, your blueprint serves as a roadmap, allowing our teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
